She started her own private business over 6 years ago and more recently starting Dia Ped. Although dealing with all kinds of foot and shoe problems, she continues to focus on the Diabetic foot. Her main aim is to create foot/shoe awareness amongst Diabetics and health professionals in order to help prevent foot amputations.
She has been part of the Foot Care Team at the Diabetes Life Centre in Claremont, Cape Town since 2012. Although she is now based in Durban, KZN, where she is linked to a Medical Orthotist/Prosthetist, she still works with the Diabetes Life Centre and makes her services available nationwide.
Micha Oelsner keeps strong connections with Health Professionals
and Diabetes Specialists overseas, especially with Germany, the home of orthopaedic and therapeutic shoes. Thus enabling her to offer high quality service and products according to international specifications and guide lines and keeping her knowledge up-to-date and standard.
